Starting our blog can be an exciting and empowering experience, but it can also feel overwhelming when considering all the factors involved. As a woman who cares deeply about the environment, one of my biggest concerns was the impact of the products I would be promoting, especially those packaged in non-recyclable plastic. As a business owner, I understand the power of my choices and the effect they have on the planet, which is why I’m dedicated to making a positive difference. Through my research, I’ve discovered many eco-friendly alternatives to traditional cleaning products that are just as effective. By incorporating these sustainable options into my business, I’m taking a step towards reducing my carbon footprint and contributing to a cleaner, healthier planet. It’s a small change that can make a significant difference in the grand scheme of things.
As a cleaning business owner, I’ve been guilty of using too many products packaged in non-recyclable plastic. I feel a sense of guilt every time I dispose of these containers and recognise the impact they have on the environment. Though I teach my cleaners to be mindful of the amount of product they use, the plastic containers still need replacing. That’s why I’m on a mission to find sustainable alternatives to conventional cleaning products and reduce our environmental impact. With my team, I’m testing locally produced eco-friendly products with refillable packaging for domestic cleaning, and we’re taking it to the next level by exploring industrial-strength cleaning products that are also environmentally friendly. We’re looking at compostable sponges and scourers, recyclable microfibre cloths, ultrasonic cleaners, and more.
Our goal is to find and recommend high-quality products that work for our domestic clients and hospitality companies that share our values. I know that transitioning to a more sustainable approach won’t be easy, but I’m determined to make a positive impact, and I’m excited about the possibilities. If you’re passionate about the environment like I am, I invite you to join me on this journey. Together, let’s work towards a cleaner and healthier planet for ourselves and future generations.
Remember, taking action towards making a positive change is crucial, and with the right mindset and determination, you too can make a difference in your own small way.
